Standard Extra

Standard Max
The Kerckhaert Standard Max is the answer to increased demand from farriers for a basic shoe with additional thickness. The Standard Max complements the Standard and Standard Extra. Slightly wider than the Standard, but in a 3/8" thickness, the Standard Max is produced on the same system as the Standard and Extra in order to provide a full toe, nicely balanced for the width of stock. The Standard, Standard Extra and Standard Max is a solid group of shoes that fit the needs of many pleasure, ranch and trail horses. The Max is packed in 10 pair boxes, in sizes 0, 1, 2 and 3.

Standard Toe Weight
The Standard Toe Weight is an excellent shoe for Arab and pleasure gaited horses. With a 1-1/8” wide toe and 3/8” thickness, this shoe meets the specs required for show Arabs. Made from high grade steel with good carbon content and a deep V-crease, the Standard Toe Weight holds up well in both the arena and abrasive terrain. This shoe is symmetrical and available in sizes 1 and 2.
Standard Lite
The Kerckhaert Standard Lite is a lighter version of the Standard shoe, with an 18x7 steel size. This is an attractive, economical series; well suited for horses requiring a lighter shoe.

Standard Lite Rim
The Kerckhaert Standard Lite Rim shoe is a one-shape pattern with the same weight as the SX-7 series. It is creased from heel to heel, providing extra traction.
Standard Pony
The Kerckhaert Standard Pony steel shoe is shaped for ponies. This shoe will fit some miniature horses, as well.

Dura Plain
This 3/8" thick generic shape shoe from Kerckhaert uses a high grade steel and good carbon content for extended wear. The Kerckhaert Dura Plain meets the needs of horses working in rough and abrasive terrains. The shoe is available in a symmetrical shape with no front and hind.

Dura Max
The Dura Max combines features of the Kerckhaert Standard Max and Kerckhaert Dura Plain shoe styles into one.
The Kerckhaert Dura Max has a full, thick toe and a hybrid width of stock between the original stock sizes of the Dura Plain and Standard Max as well as increased thickness. The 3/8" thickness, width of stock, deep V-crease, and clean punching makes this an excellent shoe for modifications and extra wear. Best nail choice: Liberty 5 City, 5 Combo or 5 Slim.
